Patrick Powers is a seasoned digital strategy leader with over two decades of experience driving impactful web strategies, optimizing online visibility, and analyzing digital performance.

As the founder and principal consultant of Powers Digital, Patrick has worked with a diverse range of clients—including colleges, universities, healthcare systems, and resort destinations—to enhance their websites' functionality, user experience, and search engine performance.

With expertise spanning SEO, web analytics, UX research, and information architecture, Patrick has consistently helped organizations align their digital presence with business goals. His ability to track keyword performance from search to conversion, coupled with data-driven decision-making, has led to tangible improvements in engagement and visibility.

Patrick’s career began in print journalism, covering crime and politics in Kansas and Illinois. This experience shaped his storytelling ability and capacity to meet demanding deadlines. In 2005, Patrick transitioned to digital marketing at Webster University, where he led a full website redesign and positioned the university as a leader in social media and digital engagement. During his tenure as Director of Digital Marketing and Communications, he established data-driven processes to measure content performance and grow the university’s online presence.

In 2013, Patrick joined mStoner, a premier higher education marketing firm, where he consulted on strategy, branding, website redesign, and SEO for institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, Fordham University, and Harvard Graduate School of Education. He later moved to Mercy, where he led digital content strategies and SEO initiatives for one of the top five healthcare systems in the U.S., driving significant improvements in search visibility and online engagement.

Patrick holds an MBA from Webster University and a master’s in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield. He is certified by Google in Analytics and AdWords, with industry-recognized expertise in SEO, content strategy, and web analytics.

Patrick lives in St. Louis, Mo., with his wife, Kelli, and their two children, Maggie and Jack. When not working, he enjoys giving back to the community, serving on the LifeBridge Partnership Board of Directors and the City of Shrewsbury Planning Commission.
